Time for Obama to Reset? No, Time for Obama to Resign
Politico asks “Should Obama hit the reset button on the White House? If so, where might he find it?”
My thoughts as I wrote to Politico and as they have now published:
Should Obama hit the reset button? You’re kidding right?! Step One: Obama should apologize for bankrupting the country, going around the world and apologizing for us as if it were needed, then bowing fealty to the likes of the Saudi king, the Japanese Emperor, the Chinese leader and, if we give him a chance, maybe even Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Obama gave us massive debt to bailout large corporate American, gave billions to foreign car makers through a junker car program, instead of fixing health care, tried and failed to replace it, can’t make a decision on ongoing military war and occupation in Afghanistan and Iraq, gave up protecting our borders and workplaces from illegal immigrants, still insists on signing us up for costly programs to combat now discredited global warming, and… does one really need to continue?!
Obama has been a disaster for the U.S. from day one. His only success, after a couple weeks in office was to gain nomination for and now receive a Nobel Peace Prize. Embarrassing, really.
Oh, yeah. Obama has had a steady stream of parties since arriving at the White House. Even Kobe steak. Really concerned about spending our tax dollars wisely.
Yes, reset by resignation.

Lou Dobbs Considers Possible Presidential Run (Fox News)
In this report the $8 million dollar man is leaving his options open, including a run for president. Personally, I think the next president should make Dobbs head of Homeland Security where he can put his great passions directly to work for America. I’d love to see him given the chance to put his ideas into action.
Not So Fast! How about that citizenship “President-elect” Obama? (Updated)
My original November 15, 2008, article is updated here as this is a crucial matter in respect to our Constitution and who we accept in the office of President. It is surreal that Barack Obama has refused to release the records necessary to resolve the matter of his eligibility to be president. Ignoring this will not change the Constitution, nor will those concerned allow the matter to wither away. Either Barack Obama is or is not eligible to be President of the United States.
In the continuing news surrounding Obama’s citizenship is Janet Porter’s claim that Obama did not get his first passport until after becoming a U.S. Senator. This adds weight to his non-U.S. citizenship as his primary or declared citizenship. Did he travel to Pakistan using his Indonesian, Kenyan, or British citizenship? Porter notes that his 1981 travel to Indonesia and Pakistan were after his mother’s 1980 return from Indonesia and divorce from her Indonesian husband. Thus, adding more questions to Obama’s story and credibility as he claimed to have traveled first to see her, then to go on to Pakistan for a three week visit. She also revisits earlier questions about his allegedly forged birth certificate released by the campaign that has been repeatedly called into question.
As I previous wrote…
A new challenge to Senator Barack Obama’s citizenship was filed November 12th in California demanding that the court stop certification of the election results until the state’s secretary of state can ascertain from Senator Obama his legal qualification to be a candidate for President. This 18 page petition is a quick read. It offers a good summary of what is at stake and the questions that surround Senator Obama’s citizenship.
The Lawyers’ Party
Bruce Walker makes an interesting observation in “The Lawyers Party” when he notes that all Democratic Party presidential candidates since 1984 went to law school, though Al Gore did not graduate. Every Democratic vice-presidential candidate since 1976, except Lloyd Bentsen, went to law school . By comparison, Gerald Ford in 1976 was the last Republican presidential candidate that was a lawyer. He does not identify the last Republican vice-presidential candidate who went to law school.
Aside from this trivia, I do not agree with the balance of Walker’s article that rails against lawyers. I believe they serve an important, vital role in society and the laws that allow us to seek unfettered justice whenever and for whatever reason we choose are necessary. Often this is our only recourse when injustice or injury is encountered.
